Literature Text

A very long time ago, I loved you.

You were a Touareg – a man of the infinite desert

Your skin sustained the blazing sun; your hands were old before their time

Your eyes were as deep as the abyss of the coldest night

But your smile was the strength of the fire that kept our village safe.

A very long time ago, I loved you.

I was a grain of sand, dwindled by the sun, pushed by the winds

Aimlessly thrown and pushed where higher forces directed me

Powerless, I was a girl given to another man

But as the wind endlessly twirled the sand

My mind constantly twirled dreams of you.
random poem inspired by we all know who this morning (Friday the 18th 2012). I was randomly thinking of a line in my other fiction and a spec of dust became a grain of sand in the desert and boom voila. A whole story came to life.

I really like this, reading it created some powerful imagery. I was captivated and enthralled in daydream after reading. Glad you took the time to write it out as it came to you.
